ADELAIDE, Australia — Australian Paralympic cyclist Paige Greco has died at the age of 28 after a sudden medical episode at her home, leaving behind a remarkable record in para-cycling.

Greco, who was born with cerebral palsy and competed in the C3 classification, became one of Australia’s most accomplished para-cyclists after switching from para-athletics to cycling. Her career included a Paralympic gold medal, world records and a long list of medals across track and road events.

Greco’s defining Paralympic moment came at the Tokyo 2020 Games. Competing in the women’s C1-3 3000m individual pursuit, she won Australia’s first gold medal of those Paralympics and set a world record.

She did not stop there. Greco also won bronze medals in the women’s C1-3 road race and time trial, confirming her status as a world-class competitor across multiple formats.
