Determined not to let the match slip away, Brazil increased their effectiveness in attack and defense, melting the gap to bring the score to 15-13. Responding to Melissa Vargas’s hard attacks with Ana Cristina, Brazil briefly took the lead in the set by bringing the score to 19-18. However, regaining control in the final part of the set and building a wall in defense, Turkey made no further mistakes.
