MACAO, CHINA — Türkiye will face Brazil in the 2026 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League final on Sunday, July 26, at 14:30 Türkiye time, with the match shown live on TRT 1.
The title match at the East Asian Games Dome in Macao brings together Türkiye, seeking their second VNL championship, and Brazil, who are attempting to win the competition for the first time after four previous runner-up finishes.
When is the Türkiye vs Brazil VNL final?
The Türkiye-Brazil Women’s Volleyball Nations League final will be played on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The match is scheduled to begin at 19:30 local time in Macao, corresponding to 11:30 UTC and 14:30 in Türkiye.
The final will take place at the East Asian Games Dome, which has hosted the knockout stage of the 2026 Women’s VNL from July 22 to 26.
Before the gold-medal match, tournament hosts China will face reigning world and Olympic champions Italy in the bronze-medal match. That contest is scheduled for 15:30 local time, or 10:30 in Türkiye.
Which channel will show Türkiye vs Brazil?
The VNL final will be broadcast live and free-to-air in Türkiye on TRT 1.
TRT’s official programme listing places the Brazil-Türkiye final at 14:30 on Sunday. Viewers in Türkiye will therefore be able to follow the national team’s title challenge without a subscription.

International viewers can watch through Volleyball World’s VBTV platform in countries where the service holds streaming rights. Availability may differ by country because of regional broadcasting agreements.
Viewers outside Türkiye should check Volleyball World’s official “Where to Watch” service or their local sports broadcasters before the match begins.
How did Türkiye reach the final?
Türkiye completed the preliminary phase in fourth place with nine victories, three defeats and 25 points, earning a place among the eight teams competing in Macao.
The Sultans of the Net faced Canada in the quarterfinals. After losing the opening set, Türkiye produced a strong comeback to win the match 3-1 and secure a semifinal against hosts China.
Türkiye then delivered one of their most convincing performances of the tournament, defeating China 3-0 in front of the home crowd.
The sets ended 25-21, 25-15 and 25-20, with the match completed in 77 minutes. Türkiye controlled the encounter with effective serving, blocking and attacking, limiting China’s opportunities to build momentum.
Melissa Vargas led the scoring with 23 points, while İlkin Aydın contributed 15. Hande Baladın added 11 points, and Zehra Güneş played a major role at the net with four successful blocks.
The victory took Türkiye into their third VNL final and guaranteed the country a fourth medal in the competition.
Türkiye first reached the final in the inaugural VNL season in 2018, losing to the United States and taking silver. They won bronze in 2021 before claiming their first championship by defeating China in the 2023 final.
How did Brazil qualify for the title match?
Brazil entered the knockout stage after finishing third in the preliminary standings with nine wins, three losses and 26 points.
The South American team met Japan in the quarterfinals and recovered from losing the first set to win 3-1. Ana Cristina scored 30 points in that match, while Julia Bergmann added 24 as Brazil advanced to face Italy.
The semifinal produced one of the most dramatic encounters of the final stage.
Brazil defeated two-time defending VNL champions Italy 3-2, winning the five-set contest 21-25, 25-21, 26-24, 21-25 and 15-12.
Italy recovered from a 2-1 deficit to force a deciding set, but Brazil remained composed in the final points. Ana Cristina scored the match-winning point and finished with 23, while Bergmann and Rosamaria Montibeller contributed 15 each.
The result sent Brazil into their fifth VNL final.
Brazil previously finished second in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2025. Despite being one of the leading teams in international women’s volleyball, they have yet to lift the VNL trophy.
Brazil hold the advantage in recent meetings
The final is a rematch of the bronze-medal contest at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Brazil won that encounter 3-1 to claim the Olympic bronze medal. The South American team repeated the same scoreline when the sides met in the 2025 VNL.
Those victories extended Brazil’s winning run against Türkiye to three consecutive matches.
Türkiye’s most recent victory in the series came during the 2023 Olympic Qualification Tournament, when the Sultans of the Net defeated Brazil in straight sets.
According to Volleyball World, the two national teams have met 19 times in major world-level competitions. Brazil have won 14 of those matches, while Türkiye have recorded five victories.
Past results give Brazil a statistical advantage, but the final will be decided in a single match. Türkiye enter the contest after a straight-set semifinal victory, while Brazil arrive after an intense five-set battle against Italy.
The teams’ physical recovery and ability to handle pressure during long rallies could therefore prove important.
Türkiye target a second title as Brazil seek their first
Türkiye have already guaranteed at least a silver medal by reaching the final.
Victory would give the national team their second VNL championship after the historic 2023 triumph. It would also increase Türkiye’s overall tournament record to two gold medals, one silver and one bronze.
A Brazilian victory would deliver the country’s first VNL title after four previous defeats in the final.
The match will feature two of the highest-ranked teams in international women’s volleyball and two powerful attacking line-ups. Türkiye will rely heavily on Vargas, their middle blockers and an improving defensive structure.
Brazil’s main threats include Ana Cristina, Bergmann and Rosamaria, while the team’s blocking strength and ability to recover from difficult positions were evident against both Japan and Italy.
Türkiye’s semifinal performance showed their capacity to control a match from the service line and maintain pressure through transition attacks. Brazil demonstrated resilience by surviving a five-set contest against the reigning world and Olympic champions.
The final will therefore bring together Türkiye’s search for a second championship and Brazil’s latest attempt to turn four silver medals into a first VNL gold.
