WISE NEWS PRESS / ANKARA, TÜRKİYE

ŞA-RA Energy, one of Türkiye’s industrial giants, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026, solidifying its position as a global force with 11 factories and a workforce of over 2,000 professionals.

Since its establishment in 1985, the group has evolved from a local steel manufacturer into a massive conglomerate, providing critical infrastructure solutions to more than 120 countries. Recognized consistently among Türkiye’s top 500 industrial enterprises (ISO 500), ŞA-RA continues to lead sectors ranging from energy transmission and construction to defense and tourism through its commitment to innovation and sustainable growth.

Four Decades of Industrial Excellence

The journey began in 1985 with the production of steel for energy transmission lines and transformer centers. By the late 1980s, ŞA-RA became a pioneer by establishing integrated galvanization plants, significantly increasing its production capacity. In the 1990s, the company expanded its footprint with a 50,000-square-meter facility in Polatlı and established a headquarters in Ankara to manage its growing contractor and export activities. A strategic shift in 1999 saw the group diversify into the tourism sector, followed by a successful entry into real estate and construction in 2009.

Strategic Global Partnerships and Projects

ŞA-RA’s international prestige is backed by landmark projects across diverse geographies. In 2012, the company secured major contracts in Canada, providing steel structures for six of the country’s top ten infrastructure projects. The 2016 "Lower Churchill" project in North America further showcased the firm’s engineering prowess. Recently, in 2021, ŞA-RA signed a long-term framework agreement with Europe’s energy giants, Elia Group in Belgium and 50Hertz in Germany, ensuring its role in the continent’s future energy distribution.

Future Vision: IPO and Digital Transformation

Equipped with an R&D and Design Center approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, ŞA-RA focuses on high-value-added production. In 2023, the group initiated its Initial Public Offering (IPO) process to enhance corporate transparency and global competitiveness. Currently reaching an annual capacity of 200,000 tons of profile and sheet metal processing, ŞA-RA Energy integrates robotic welding and digital transformation into its operations, ensuring that its motto, "Our Energy is Worth the World," remains a standard for the next 40 years.
