ES Marine sets new standards in Turkey's industrial coastal projects

WISE NEWS PRESS / IZMIR, TURKEY — Nov. 22, 2025

ES Marine (ES Denizcilik) has solidified its position as a pioneer in Turkey’s marine engineering sector, successfully delivering critical infrastructure projects with a specialized fleet of over 20 vessels and advanced dredging capabilities.

Operating extensively in the Aliağa Peninsula, the company has become a key player in the expansion of industrial marine facilities, combining high-capacity dredging with complex coastal construction. With an hourly bottom dredging capacity of 1,000 cubic meters, ES Marine is accelerating project timelines while maintaining strict safety standards.

Major infrastructure milestones

The company has served as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor for the Star Refinery Terrace 3 Region (SPE) Project, a massive undertaking that involved expanding the refinery area by 345,000 square meters.

As part of the Star Refinery Marine Terminal (Liquid Cargo Port) Construction Project, ES Marine successfully completed the construction of three separate pile jetties measuring 495 meters, 351 meters, and 332 meters in length.

Another significant achievement includes the dredging works for the APM Terminals Petkim Container Port. The firm dredged 2 million cubic meters of seabed, deepening the approach channel to -16 meters and the maneuvering area to -71 meters, utilizing the 'Tarak Gemisi Kanuni' vessel which boasts a 0.5-150 MPa cutting force.

Commitment to safety and environment

Safety remains a cornerstone of the company's operations. In the SOCAR CEFOT Construction and Mechanical Works Projects, ES Marine completed 3 million man-hours in 2022 without a single lost-time injury (LTI), a notable statistic in the high-risk marine construction industry.

"Quality and safety are at the center of everything we do. We are dedicated to sustainable practices that protect marine ecosystems for future generations," the company stated in its corporate manifesto.

Advanced fleet and technology

To meet the rigorous demands of modern industrial projects, ES Marine utilizes a fleet equipped with the latest technology. This includes dredging vessels, pile drivers, and specialized tugboats designed to operate in complex marine environments.

The company offers a broad spectrum of services ranging from seabed dredging and pile driving to underwater operations and the construction of all types of marine structures. By integrating large-scale industrial structures such as power plants and industrial quays into their portfolio, they continue to provide engineering solutions that prioritize durability and environmental responsibility.
