White House Denies 'Trump Knew of Epstein Crimes' Allegation
The White House rejected claims from Jeffrey Epstein's emails suggesting Trump knew of the abuse of minors, labeling the leak as a "fabricated narrative" intended to divert attention from the President's achievements.

The White House on Wednesday dismissed the allegation that "Trump knew about the abuse of minors" from emails belonging to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, calling the claims a "fabricated narrative" meant to divert public attention from the President's accomplishments.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed that Democrats aim to distract the public from Trump's achievements by intentionally "leaking" the emails to the "liberal media" via the House Oversight Committee.
"These reports are nothing more than a bad-faith game attempting to obscure President Trump's great achievements," Leavitt stated, adding: "Any clear-thinking American immediately understands this game and the effort to divert attention from an important issue like the reopening of the government."
Three emails were released by Democrats via the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, containing statements that allegedly suggested Trump may have had knowledge of Epstein's crimes. In a 2011 email to Ghislaine Maxwell (currently imprisoned for sexual abuse solicitation), Epstein wrote that Trump had spent "a lot of time at his house" with an individual whose name was concealed but whom House Democrats identified as a "victim." In a separate email sent to journalist Michael Wolff, Epstein wrote about Trump, "Of course he knew about the girls, he asked Ghislaine to stop."
Republicans and Democrats Trade Accusations
The Republican-led House Oversight Committee also released 20,000 pages of documents sourced from Epstein's estate on Wednesday.
The US President has consistently denied having any knowledge of Epstein's alleged crimes, stating that he ended his association with him years ago. Meanwhile, Democrats have persistently accused Republicans and the White House of covering up Trump's involvement in the matter.
Epstein, convicted of sexual crimes, ended his life in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges.
