Established in 1938 and acquired by the Iyigullu Group in 1956, Akis Boya has evolved from a local paint manufacturer into a powerhouse in the industrial coatings sector.
Headquartered in Bursa, the company boasts over 60 years of experience in producing light and heavy industrial paints. Akis Boya distinguishes itself by manufacturing its own alkyd resins and colorants, offering industrial tinting services through a network of over 250 service points and dealers across its operational geography.
Strategic Partnerships and Innovation
A pivotal moment in the company's history came in 2012 when it signed a licensing agreement with Carboline, a global leader in industrial coatings. This collaboration allowed Akis Boya to offer the widest product range in the Turkish market, covering light industry, anti-corrosive coatings, tank linings, and fire retardants.
The company's commitment to innovation is evident in its milestones. In 1997, it produced Turkey's first automatic tinting paint machine. More recently, in 2020, Akis Boya implemented an IoT-based quality system, followed by the launch of the Akis APP mobile application in 2021.
Sustainability and Future Growth
Akis Boya places a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility. In 2019, the company received the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificate. Continuing this trend, 2022 saw the renewal of its solvent and dust filtration systems, alongside the groundbreaking for a new R&D center.
