With the result, Rayo Vallecano advanced to the UEFA Conference League final after winning both legs of the semifinal.

Crystal Palace took the lead in the 25th minute through Pedro Henrique’s own goal. Shakhtar responded in the 34th minute when Eguinaldo scored to level the match and briefly revive the Ukrainian side’s hopes.
However, Palace regained the lead in the 52nd minute through Ismaila Sarr. The goal gave the English side control again and left Shakhtar with too much to do.
The match ended 2-1, sending Crystal Palace through to the final.
Arda Turan’s European journey stops in semifinal
Shakhtar Donetsk’s run under Arda Turan ended in the semifinals after two difficult matches against Crystal Palace.
The Ukrainian side had shown strong form earlier in the competition, but the 3-1 defeat in the first leg made the return match at Selhurst Park a major challenge.
Although Shakhtar managed to equalize during the second leg, Palace’s second-half goal ended the comeback attempt.
Despite the elimination, reaching the semifinals marked an important European experience for Turan’s coaching career.
