WISE NEWS PRESS / PROVIDENCE, US
Legendary Judge Frank Caprio has once again captured global attention as a compilation of his top three most hilarious courtroom moments resurfaces, highlighting his unique blend of compassion and sharp humor.
The viral footage from the "Caught in Providence" series features three distinct cases where the traditional solemnity of the law gives way to heartwarming laughter. These moments range from a defendant trying to avoid his traffic footage to long-married couples debating their relationship history in front of the bench.
The defendant who didn't want to look
In one standout segment, a man facing three red light violations on Allen’s Avenue and Terminal Street initially refuses to watch the evidence. "I don't need to look at it cause everybody else you looked at they was guilty," the defendant tells Caprio, much to the court's amusement. After Caprio dismisses two of the cases based on the footage, the man's attitude does a complete 180-degree turn. "I wanna see them all now! Now I wanna see everybody!" the man jokes as Caprio laughs along with him.
Secret to a 44-year marriage
The compilation also features a couple married for 44 years who provide a humorous take on marital bliss. When Caprio asks for the secret to their long marriage, the wife explains that her husband always agrees with her. "He agrees on what I say... whatever I say he says 'okay baby'," she tells the judge. The comedic timing peaks when the husband, asked for his version of the secret, simply points to his wife and says, "She just told you."
Taking the blame or the bus
A third case involves a woman who immediately shifts the blame for a ticket to her husband of 43 years. "I got the ticket, he was driving my car... I'm not guilty, he is," she tells Caprio. In a creative legal resolution, the woman—acting as a temporary "judge"—decides to give her husband the benefit of the doubt on a technicality, but only on one condition: "He has to take me to dinner." Caprio, in his signature style, agrees to the deal.
