Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska confirmed a night of intense Russian assaults targeting the country's power grid, using hundreds of drones and missiles across multiple regions, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa.
Zelenska took to social media to detail the aftermath of the attacks and offer condolences to those affected.
"A night of explosions in Kyiv and the region, in Kharkiv and Odesa regions. Our energy sector—light and heat—was again under Russian attack with hundreds of drones and missiles," Zelenska wrote in her post.
She confirmed that the strikes caused civilian casualties and widespread damage to residential areas.
"Unfortunately, dozens of people were injured, and residential buildings were damaged. My condolences to all the wounded and to the families of the fallen," she added.

Zelenska concluded her message by thanking the personnel who rushed to aid the victims and expressing faith in the resilience of the Ukrainian people. "Thank you to the medics, rescuers, and volunteers who rush to help without hesitation. Ukraine is strong because its people are strong," she concluded.
