Akra Hotels, which began its journey in 1971 under the Barut Hotels brand and transitioned to its current identity on January 1, 2023, continues to add significant value to Turkish tourism by merging over 50 years of heritage with high standards of service. Operating with 2,500 employees and a capacity of 4,331 beds, the group maintains a strong presence in both urban and resort hospitality across Antalya, Kemer, Sorgun, and Fethiye.
Strategic expansion into urban hospitality
The group made a landmark move into urban hospitality in 2014 with the opening of Akra Hotel and Akra V in Antalya, introducing a fresh perspective to the city’s tourism sector. Following the success of its initial resorts in Kemer and Sorgun, Akra Hotels further expanded its portfolio with Akra Fethiye Tui Blue Sensatori in 2015 and The Residence Tui Blue Sensatori in 2019. These facilities offer diverse concepts including Pet Friendly, Bike Friendly, and Adults Only options to meet specific guest needs.
Redefining gastronomy and social life
Beyond traditional accommodation, Akra Hotels has established a significant footprint in the gastronomy and entertainment sectors through venues such as Asmani Restaurant, Pablito Bistro, and The 251 Soul. The brand serves as a cultural hub for Antalya by hosting major annual events, including the Akra Jazz Festival, Meze Festival, and international sporting events like the Tour of Antalya and Akra Gran Fondo.

A unified vision for Turkish tourism
Today, Akra Hotels operates two urban hotels and four major resorts under a single roof, aiming to remain "above the competition" through elite human resources practices and exceptional culinary experiences. By integrating the legacy of Barut Hotels with modern international standards, the brand continues to garner global awards and high guest satisfaction, solidifying its role as a premier representative of Turkish hospitality.
