Nacho Sanchez Amor, the European Parliament's (EP) Rapporteur on Turkey, visited Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairperson Özgür Özel in Ankara as part of his contacts for the preparation of the EP's upcoming annual report on Turkey.
The meeting, held at the CHP Headquarters, is significant for evaluating the course of Turkey-EU relations and domestic political developments from a European perspective. Amor's visit constitutes a critical leg of the consultation process prior to the new report on Turkey, which will be drafted and voted on by the European Parliament.

Senior figures from the CHP delegation were present at the meeting held in Özel's office. CHP Secretary General Selin Sayek Böke, Deputy Chairperson Responsible for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Namık Tan, Foreign Policy Coordinator İlhan Uzgel, and Foreign Relations Coordinator Şule Bucak Erten accompanied the CHP leader.
