ANKARA, TÜRKİYE — Cemil Bayık, a ringleader of the PKK terrorist organization, claimed that the Iranian regime is on the verge of collapse and warned that Turkey would face international intervention if it maintains its current policies.
Speaking to the organization's media outlet, the co-chair of the KCK Executive Council analyzed the shifting conflict dynamics in the Middle East, suggesting that the war is moving eastward from Syria to Iran and potentially Turkey, citing historical and current geopolitical pressures from the US and Israel.
Regime change in Iran
Bayık argued that the current political regime in Iran has lost its ground to survive and is being directly targeted by the United States and Israel. He asserted that after neutralizing Iran's proxy forces in the region, Western powers are now focusing on Tehran itself.
"This regime will either change or it will collapse," Bayık stated, claiming that without radical changes, the fall of the Iranian administration is inevitable. He suggested that external interventions and internal uprisings have weakened the regime, and that while Western powers might prefer a unified Iran, they are pushing for a decentralized system based on autonomous regions.
Threats directed at Ankara
Turning his attention to Turkey, the terror leader issued a veiled threat regarding the country's "survival" (beka). Bayık claimed that if Ankara does not alter its current approach to the Kurdish issue and transition to what he termed a "democratic nation" system, it will remain vulnerable to international manipulation.
"If the Kurdish issue remains unresolved, it constitutes Turkey's weakest link," Bayık said. He suggested that international powers could seek to "redesign" Turkey based on their interests, implying that the instability predicted for Iran could subsequently engulf Turkey.
Regional conflict dynamics
Bayık also referenced past statements by imprisoned PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan from the 2013-2015 period, claiming current events validate Öcalan's prediction that the war would shift from Syria toward the north and east.
He analyzed the historical significance of the region, drawing parallels to World War I and the Ottoman Empire's control over the Middle East. Bayık alleged that the US and UK, with support from regional actors, are reshaping the political map, citing the recent fall of the Baath regime in Syria as a precursor to wider regional restructuring.
