A humorous exchange about the number of wives shared between U.S. President Donald Trump and Syrian President Ahmed Shara during their Oval Office meeting has become a trending topic on social media.
The meeting, which took place on November 10, marked the first time a Syrian head of state had been hosted by a U.S. president at the White House. The leaders exchanged gifts and engaged in a casual chat at the close of the historic visit.

President Trump presented Syrian President Shara with a perfume carrying his personal brand and personally sprayed it onto the Syrian leader.
After mentioning he had a second bottle for Shara’s wife, Trump lightheartedly asked the Syrian President, "How many wives do you have?" Shara replied with a laugh, "One."
The exchange continued when it was Shara’s turn to present gifts. Shara gave Trump the world’s first written customs tariff, the first stamp printed in Syria, and several historical and archaeological artifacts from his country.
Shara then returned the joke, asking Trump, "The second gift is for the First Lady. How many wives do you have?" Trump smiled and replied, "Just one for now."
Ahmed Shara’s Washington visit was recorded as a significant diplomatic milestone, marking the first such meeting between the two nations' leaders at the White House.
