Gürler Global, a rising force in Turkish manufacturing, has achieved a significant international milestone by securing a $1.48 million export agreement for 800,000 units of its locally produced infant formula brand, Bebehum.
Founded in 2016, the company initially gained international recognition through its Bebegen textile brand, exporting to 44 countries. Building on this success, Gürler Global identified a critical gap in the domestic market for infant milk and follow-on formula. Following extensive R&D investments, the company has successfully transitioned to full-scale internal production at its Ankara facilities, aiming to challenge global competitors in the baby food sector.
From textile leadership to food innovation
The journey of Gürler Global began with Bebegen in 2017, quickly scaling to a production capacity of 500,000 textile pieces annually. By 2022, the company launched its Bebehum brand to address the lack of local infant formula manufacturers in Turkey. Supported by a team of expert food engineers, the R&D phase culminated in high-standard production lines certified with ISO 22000, HACCP, and Halal standards, ensuring safety and quality for global markets.
Global expansion of Turkish baby formula
Bebehum made its international debut at trade fairs in Ethiopia, drawing significant interest from global partners. After successfully entering markets in Guinea and Northern Cyprus, the company finalized its first large-scale monthly export contract in October 2023. This agreement, valued at nearly $1.5 million, marks a turning point for Turkish-made infant formula, demonstrating the brand’s ability to meet the rigorous demands of international retailers and wholesalers.
Strategic growth and e-export integration
Gürler Global leverages a wide-reaching sales network, including physical stores, online marketplaces, and specialized e-export channels. By integrating its textile expertise with its new food production capabilities, the company continues to expand its global footprint. As Bebehum secures more international shelf space, Gürler Global remains committed to providing healthy, locally-made alternatives for mothers worldwide, backed by transparent partnerships and innovative food solutions.
