Journalist Ahmet Takan reports that Turkiye has proposed Aleppo as Syria's new capital while detailing the PKK/YPG's strategic plan to reach the Mediterranean.
WISE NEWS PRESS / ANKARA, TÜRKİYE
Journalist Ahmet Takan has brought forward a striking claim regarding Ankara's new plan for Syria following a critical phone call between President Erdoğan and Syrian President Ahmed Shara. According to Takan, citing reliable state sources, Turkiye has diplomatically suggested making Aleppo the new capital of Syria to ensure long-term regional stability.
The PKK/YPG "Sea Corridor" Strategy
Analysis leaking from Ankara's state corridors suggests that the primary motivation behind the PKK/YPG’s intensified clashes in Aleppo is the ambition to reach the Mediterranean via Afrin and the eastern border of Hatay. Supported by Israel, this plan involves a fortified force of approximately 40,000 militants. The analysis underscores that the group reached Aleppo by crossing south of the Tabqa dam and is receiving logistics from Israel to seize strategic nodes in the region.
A Massive Stockpile: 500,000 Tons of Ammunition
The intensity of the conflict is fueled by a staggering amount of weaponry in the hands of the terror organization. Sources indicate an inventory of nearly 500,000 tons of ammunition, which includes 360,000 registered pieces left behind by the United States during its withdrawal from Iraq. This inventory reportedly includes Stinger defense missiles and armored vehicles. In addition to U.S. equipment, Israel has allegedly opened its own depots to the YPG, facilitating a $15 billion military aid flow to the area.
Israel's Plan for "Autonomous Zones" in Syria
According to operational analyses, Israel aims to establish a system of autonomous regions in Syria’s future, utilizing the Druze and YPG populations. Creating a "sea exit" by controlling the Aleppo-Afrin line is considered the most critical phase of this plan. Experts anticipate that if Israel does not achieve its desired results, it may provide direct air support to the YPG, suggesting that the clashes in the region are unlikely to end in the short term.
