Reza Pahlavi outlines vision for a free Iran after Islamic Republic

WISE NEWS PRESS / WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES

Iranian opposition figure Reza Pahlavi outlined a comprehensive vision for Iran’s future, saying a free Iran would abandon nuclear weapons ambitions, end support for terrorism, and rejoin the international community as a stabilizing force.

In a statement shared with his followers on social media, Pahlavi said the Islamic Republic has come to define Iran globally through “terrorism, extremism, and poverty,” arguing that this image does not reflect the country’s true identity or potential.

Ending nuclear ambitions and regional militancy

Reza Pahlavi stated that following the fall of the Islamic Republic, Iran’s nuclear military program would be terminated entirely. He added that all support for terrorist organizations would cease immediately.

According to Pahlavi, a democratic Iran would cooperate with regional and global partners to combat terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking, and extremist ideologies, positioning itself as a responsible actor in global security.

Normalizing relations with the United States and Israel

On diplomacy, Pahlavi said relations with the United States would be normalized and that Iran’s historic ties with the American people would be restored. He also pledged that a free Iran would recognize the State of Israel without delay.

Pahlavi further proposed expanding the Abraham Accords into what he described as “Cyrus Accords,” bringing together a democratic Iran, Israel, and Arab nations under a framework based on mutual recognition and shared interests.

Energy policy and economic reopening

Highlighting Iran’s vast oil and natural gas reserves, Pahlavi said a post-regime Iran would become a reliable energy supplier to the free world. He emphasized that energy policy would be transparent, responsible, and aimed at ensuring predictable pricing.

Economically, Pahlavi described Iran as one of the world’s last major untapped markets, citing its educated population and globally connected diaspora. He said a democratic Iran would open itself to trade, foreign investment, and innovation, while also seeking opportunities to invest abroad.

Governance, transparency, and anti-corruption measures

Pahlavi pledged that international standards of governance and transparency would be adopted and enforced. He said money laundering would be confronted, organized corruption dismantled, and public institutions made accountable to the people.

He argued that these reforms would replace decades of isolation with opportunity and economic integration.

“A practical vision, not an abstract one”

Pahlavi described his proposal as a realistic and actionable plan grounded in national interest, stability, and cooperation. He called on the international community to stand with the Iranian people, saying the establishment of a secular and democratic government in Iran would benefit not only Iranians but the wider region and the world.

“A free Iran,” Pahlavi said, “will be a force for peace, prosperity, and partnership.”
